Buster Keyton Storyboard

To reproduce Buster's movement effectively, while watching a clip from one of his movies, I paused and screen captured his poses to see what kind of shapes he would make. At practically every frame he would make an interesting pose, which made him perfect to create a story board of and attempt to animate using key frames in maya.

To explore how walk cycles work, I have drawn a storyboard of a walk cycle of Buster Keyton's. I have noticed that whenever you pause the video he is always posing in an interesting way. This exaggerated posing is what makes his movements so expressive, and corresponds with the exaggeration principal of animation.
