Buster Keaton Walk Cycle with Secondary Movement

I have animated a section of the Buster Keyton storyboard from one of the previous posts on Maya, to try and test how I can portray the movement effectively for future use. I have tried to focus on the force wind would have on the character's walk cycle. The secondary action of holding his arms up to fight the find while walking really portrays the struggle it is undergoing. By key framing Buster Keaton's movements and animating the movement I have tried to portray how he acts in a scene through animation.

From my comments on facebook and after reviewing this animation myself, I have discovered that it is very difficult to re-enact an exact scene from a film. In animation, even Buster has to be exaggerated for it to work coherently as an animation. However, I don't think I got the timing of the animation completely right, which could be worked on - making the animation more snappy and bringing the character to life much better, having it resemble Buster's movements more.

In the clip of buster Keyton that I have imitated, I have noticed that Buster does many things at once during his run cycle. He is fighting against the wind, guarding his eyes from the dust and struggling to keep his balance all at the same time. This is a perfect example of secondary movement and how it can tell a story so effectively. I have tried to imitate this to the best of my ability starting with the key poses of how he moves. Because he is so exaggerated with his body movements, he is perfect to imitate in animation. If you pause almost anywhere in his films, you can see a pose that perfectly represents the emotion and the narrative of what he is trying to portray.
